BACB Recertification Procedures

The following procedures apply only to 3-year recertification and not to the annual renewal

1. Documentation submission procedures.

Certificants must submit the completed Recertification Form and fee  – no documentation should be provided.
A 10% sample of applicants for recertification will be selected at random.
Certificants who are selected as part of the 10% sample will be sent a request to submit documentation of continuing education, and will have 30-days from the date on the letter to do so (must be postmarked no later than 30 days following letter date).
If documentation is not received or documentation submitted does not meet the BACB’s requirements, the person’s certification will be lost unless the matter is otherwise resolved through the BACB’s standard disciplinary procedures.
