In response to concerns raised by health insurance providers, billers, and advocates, APBA and the BACB have developed a joint statement clarifying certain components of the BACB’s ASD practice guidelines. The statement amplifies guidelines regarding the intensity of treatment, the intensity of case supervision (clinical direction), and caregiver training, and emphasizes the need for individualization of those and all other aspects of both focused and comprehensive ABA treatments for people with ASD and related disorders. The statement is available on our ASD Practice Guidelines page.
