Continual BCBA and BCaBA Certification Exams Launch on Feb. 1

Following extensive testing to ensure that our systems are optimized, we’re pleased to make the official announcement: As of Feb. 1, BCBA and BCaBA examinations will be offered on a continual basis. Applicants will not have to wait for testing windows to take their certification examinations once authorized. Additionally, BCBA and BCaBA applicants will get their results immediately at the testing center upon completing their examination. Visit our Examination Information page for more information. Dan Unumb Receives 2020 Hemingway Award

We are pleased to announce Dan Unumb, Esq., as the 2020 recipient of the BACB’s annual Michael Hemingway Behavior Analysis Award.

Dan is the founder and president of the nonprofit National Autism Law Center, established to “enforce and expand the legal rights of individuals on the autism spectrum and to serve as a resource for such individuals and their families, as well as to the service providers and attorneys who support them.” Dan also serves as president of the Autism Legal Resource Center, LLC, a national legal consulting firm assisting providers, families, and associations with insurance, Medicaid, and other healthcare coverage-related issues.

We are grateful to Dan for his efforts to expand access to behavior-analytic services for individuals on the autism spectrum. Congratulations!

Results of BACB Board of Directors Election

We are pleased to announce the results of our recent Board of Directors election: Florence DiGennaro Reed, BCBA-D, and Adel Najdowski, BCBA-D, were each elected to serve a three-year term on the board, and SungWoo Kahng, BCBA-D, was re-elected to serve an additional three-year term.
