The BACB used the Labor Insight™ database from Burning Glass Technologies to assess US employment demand for behavior analysts from 2010–2020 and demand by state for the past 12 months. The report reveals strong and increasing demand for behavior analysts throughout the US.

This document, the first in an ongoing series, summarizes the ethics violations and code-enforcement activities based on the Notices of Alleged Violation received in the first two years under the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.

After first publishing the guidelines in 2012 — the current and second version in 2014 — the BACB transferred oversight of the guidelines to the Council of Autism Service Providers (CASP) in 2020. In this capacity, CASP publishes and oversees updates and revisions to the guidelines, which serve as a resource for healthcare funders and managers, regulatory bodies, consumers, service providers, employers, and other stakeholders. The purpose of this statement is to assist payers and providers by clarifying and amplifying the Guidelines that pertain to the intensity of treatment, the intensity of case supervision, and caregiver training. Some of the key features of ABA services that are outlined in the Guidelines are reiterated first to provide emphasis and context.
