Resources

8-Hour Supervision Training

The basis of the required supervision training is the BACB Supervisor Training Curriculum Outline. The purpose of the training is to provide the knowledge and skills required for the effective supervision of those who deliver behavior-analytic services and those who are pursuing BACB certification. All Type 2 ACE providers who hold the BCBA certification are eligible to offer supervision training based on this curriculum outline. Verified Course Sequences may integrate this training into their coursework, as long as all of the training requirements are met. This training must be completed prior to the onset of any supervision activities.

Note: A change to the Supervisor Training Curriculum Outline (2.0) will be effective on November 1, 2019. Any 8-hour supervision training documents submitted after November 1, 2019 must be based on the new curriculum.

Supervision Continuing Education

BCaBAs, BCBAs and BCBA-Ds who wish to provide supervision of individuals pursuing BACB certification or the ongoing practice of BCaBAs or RBTs will be required to obtain specific training in order to do so. These individuals will also be required to obtain 3 CEUs on supervision in every certification cycle. Acceptable supervision content is behavior-analytic in nature and covers effective supervision as defined in the BACB’s Experience Standards (in particular, the “Nature of Supervision” section) and the Supervisor Training Curriculum Outline.
