Remote Testing to Discontinue
In response to examination-security breaches and theft of examination content, the BACB will no longer offer remote testing for the RBT examination beginning September 1, 2023. As of that date, candidates must take the examination in person at an authorized testing center.

In an effort to assist certificants in remaining up-to-date with BACB requirements, the following table summarizes recent and upcoming changes announced by the BACB in newsletters or other resources.
How do I recertify my certification?
Select Applications at the top of your portal account. Under Available Applications, choose Recertification Application. For example, the following image shows the available options for RBT certification, including the RBT Voluntary Inactive Application and the RBT Recertification Application: Carefully read the instructions and complete the recertification application. Submit your payment to finalize the process.
How can I start a new application?
From the main page of your portal account, select Applications in the top-right corner of the page. All applications that you are eligible to apply for will appear on this page.
